RRUPERTO FAVELA "BETO"

age 63, of East Chicago, currently Hebron, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Survived by his loving wife of 45 years Gloria Favela Gonzalez; children: Euniece Favela and Roberto (Sandra) Favela; grandchildren: Paul Cruz, Julio Figueroa and Charlize Figueroa; siblings: Andres (late Candi) Favela and Miguel Favela; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents Elidia and Andres Favela; brother Eduardo (late Olivia) Favela; sister Josefina Favela.

Ruperto retired from Inland Steel with 42 years of service as a Crane Operator. Ruperto was well known as a loving, hardworking family man who was always willing to help everyone in need. He had the biggest heart, he was known as a real cowboy by everyone who knew him. His passion for horses and life on his farm was his joy in life; his favorite TV show was Rifleman. Ruperto will be dearly missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 with a 10:00 AM mass DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Catholic Church 7113 Columbia Ave Hammond with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. Ruperto will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. At rest St. John Cemetery Hammond, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville.
