Sally Villarreal (nee Martinez)
age 86, of Highland, IN, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025. She is survived by her beloved son, Albert "Al" (Gloria) Villarreal; and precious grandchildren, Albert V. Villarreal and Anthony A. Villarreal. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom she remained close with throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert "Rosar" Villarreal; parents, Jose and Juanita Martinez; and siblings: Trinidad Martinez, Amelia (Rudy) Ruiz, Dolores Flores, Esther Martinez, and Robert Martinez (Lucy).

Sally was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School. Sally had a long and illustrious career at St. Catherine Hospital for 61 years where she served as department head of Radiology for a number of years. She enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Hospice of the Calumet, and as a hospital volunteer at St. Catherine Hospital. She loved golf, skiing, and bowling, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family and extended family as well as numerous special friends.

A Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN. A Service will be held at 5:30 PM with Fr. Gregory Bim-Merle of St. James the Less Church and Deacon Albert Burgos of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home.
