Samantha Stewart (nee Bowman)

age 55, of St. John, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 22, 2023.  Samantha is survived by her siblings, Jessica "Holly" Heinrich and Jeffrey (Rhonda) Bowman; nieces and nephew: Rhys (Emily) Heinrich, Amanda (Rob) Hackett, and Paige (Matias) Mildenberger; great nieces and nephews: Bryce, Declan, Isla, Ella, and Gemma; uncles: Douglas Bowman, Paige (Christine) Bowman, and Pitt (Cheryl) Roane; and precious pet Dixie Doo. Preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Jean Bowman; and nephew Clayton (still living, Adriane) Heinrich.

Samantha graduated from Crete Monee High School in 1985 and was previously employed at Gaskill and Walter Construction and The Market Place Antiques. She enjoyed maintaining and decorating her house. She was also an avid gardener and was fond of yardwork. She had a special place in her heart for her beloved furbaby Dixie Doo. Samantha loved music and was the biggest fan of The Rolling Stones and had seen them in concert at least five times.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Service commemorating Samantha's life will be held at 3:30 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home.
