Sandra Louise Kopko (nee Erwin)

age 66, of Munster, IN, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015. She was born September 21, 1949.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 29 years, William S. Kopko; mother, June Marie (William) Rowden; sons, Christopher and Brett (Minako) Michalak; stepson, Nick Kopko; sisters, Diana (Robert) Roman and Patricia Ann (Bert) Nichols; grandchildren, Nikole and Kailie Michalak, Cole and Luke Michalak, and Madison, Keagan, and Brendan Barkey; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Ernest Erwin Sr., brother, Ernest "Buddy" Erwin Jr., her twin sister, Cynthia Marie Warner and her nephew, Brian Kish.

Sandra attended Hammond Tech High School. She was an award winning member of the Rose Society for numerous years. She touched many lives and loved spending time with her friends and family, and most of all loved shopping for them. Her caring heart, giving soul, vibrant personality, sense of humor and passion for life will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 2:00pm – 8:00pm, at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave., Munster, IN 46321 on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, with viewing from 10:30 am – 11:00 am; service to follow with Pastor Donald Stock officiating.
