Sandra L. Leeney

Age 77, of Highland, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She is survived by her loving sister, Barbara (Robert) Shutko; sister-in-law, Carol Leeney; cousin who was more like a sister, Catherine Askew; five nieces and nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews; and in-law, Bill Oyste. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Roberta Leeney; and two brothers, Thomas Jr. and Kevin Patrick.

Sandra graduated from Gavit High School in 1964. She attended Michigan State University and received her master's degree from Purdue University. She taught math with the School City of Highland for over 40 years.

Sandra enjoyed gardening and making stained glass creations. She owned and adored horses. She was described by family as a "computer whiz extraordinaire" and was an avid reader. Sandra will be missed by all those who loved her.
