Serafina Sunio-Grino

Age 93, of Valparaiso, Indiana, formerly of the Philippines, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, October 9, 2026. She is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Serafina Sunio; beloved daughters: Perla (Renan) Grino Garcia, Ana (late, Rene) Espeja, Cecilia (late, Theodore) Villaruel, Margarita (Sigmundo) Montilla, Julieta (late, Arnold) Pingol, Fe (Larry) Worthington; as well as 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Fernando is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Fernando B. Grino; parents, Eugenio Bunto Sunio and Pillar Pelobello (nee Escander); and siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2026 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. A Service Celebrating Serafina’s Life will be held at 4:00 PM with Deacon Napoleon Tabion officiating.
