Sharon K. Durcho (nee Clarke)

a Hammond girl from birth, Sharon was welcomed into this world 55 years ago and was born into eternity on the morning of Thursday, March 29, 2018. Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory:  her husband of 18 years Pete "Repete" Durcho; her three daughters: Nicole (Kevin) Guthrie, Alicia Velasco and Ashley Jones and was Memaw to: Emily, Matthew, Evelyn and Kaleb. Sharon was one of 10 children and is survived by: Patty (Edwin) Clarke, Kevin Clarke, Norma Jean Deering, Paulette Clarke, Sally Lucas, Kenny Morgan and Ronnie (Tammy) Clarke. Sharon is also survived by her former husband Jimmy Velasco, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents Hilda Ann Clarke (nee Hubster) and Oliver P. Clarke and her brothers Terry Clarke and Steven Clarke.

Sharon adored her family and friends; cherishing the time they had together. She loved anything Harley-Davidson and was an avid fan of Betty Boop. Our beloved Sharon was a unique and rare kind of woman: She loved to ride,  carried a quiet faith and loved to drink a good rattlesnake.

Friends and family may gather to honor Sharon and celebrate her life on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 12:00 – 4:00 pm at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN. Prayers, thoughts, memories and tall tales will be shared on Sunday at 3:30pm at the funeral home with cremation at Solan Pruzin Crematory to follow.
