Sherry Wilson (nee Hardesty)

Sherry Wilson (nee Hardesty) age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Randall Wilson; loving children, Robert (Kim Wallin) Wilson and Linda (Luke) Dalach; cherished grandchildren, Caleb, David and Elliana; daughter, Melody (Gary) Kochan and family, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Sherry is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Hardesty (nee Burnett); brothers, Kenny Hardesty and Dennis Hardesty; sister, Kathy Kish.

Sherry dedicated many years of service to the Hammond Civic Center, where she became a familiar and beloved presence in the community. As a loved fitness instructor, she inspired countless individuals through her enthusiasm, encouragement, and genuine care for others.

Sherry found great joy in crocheting beautiful blankets. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. Family gatherings were made even more special by her legendary Christmas baking. Sherry’s holiday cookies became a treasured tradition, with dozens lovingly prepared each season, bringing smiles to everyone.

Sherry will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her kindness and love touched many lives and will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solan – Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, Indiana, with a service at 7:30 PM. Services will conclude at the Funeral Home.
