Steven R. Stange

Age 66, of Sauk Village, IL, passed away on Thursday March 21, 2019. Steven was preceded in death by his beloved parents, George O. Stange and Janet E. Higgins. He is survived by his loving family, Deborah (late Andrew) Bobis and late, Joseph Newsome Jr.; their children, Joseph (Kelli) Newsome III, Tracy (Mike Tokich) Noorlag, Jennifer (Dan) Rahn, Jaime Newsome; brother, Richard G. (Linda) Stange, Nieces, Christine Stange, (mother of Brandyn & Briahna Rabiansky) and Michelle Stange; aunt, Jean Matz; 17 cousins; and dear friends, Donna, Emory, Ken, Teresa, Patti and Carrie.

A Memorial Service Celebrating Steven's Life will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) in Schererville, IN.  Friends can meet with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home.

Steven retired from Inland Steel with over 30 years of service.  He was a life member of the NRA and enjoyed going to the gun range. He loved watching Nascar, the Chicago Bears and the Cubs. He loved the Cubs so much he wouldn't watch the game live because he thought it jinxed them.  Steven also liked dressing up as Santa Claus for the family. He would wear his handsewn Santa Suit throughout the years bringing joy to them.
