Sylvia W. Hayes age 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Sylvia is survived by her two sons, Roy Glover and Michael (Amy) Meziere; grandchildren; Michelle (Aaron)Jansma, Nicole (Cary)Czerniawski, Chris Meziere and Justin Meiere; great-grandchildren; Bailey Karlen, Levi Jansma, Liam Jansma, Luca Jansma and Anthoney Meziere; brother Dirk Hayes and sister Cynthia (Ted) Boraca.

Preceded in death her parents; Ross and Anne Hayes and sister, Alice Canello.

Sylvia was a true lover of the outdoors and had a wide variety of interests. In her younger years, she enjoyed hiking, canoeing and gardening. She also loved to read and was a member of an Archeology Club.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN 46375. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM.
