Thomas E. Banas

Thomas E. Banas, age 79, of Highland, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024. He is survived by his three loving daughters: Jennifer (Crystal Tidwell) Banas, Cynthia Banas, Lisa (Arthur) Stuart; one loving son, Michael (Emily) Banas; five devoted grandchildren: Brianna, Aiden, Rowan, A.J., Finn; and brother Jim (Sharon) Banas. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Pamela; and brother, Richard (still living, Shirley) Banas.

Thomas was a proud Vietnam Army Veteran. He was an active member with the American Legion Post in Highland as well as with St. James the Less Church. He was the owner of Pat's Frame and Axle in Griffith.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 3, DIRECTLY at St. James the Less Church 9640 Kennedy Ave. Highland, IN with Fr. Gregory Bim-Merle officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. James the Less Church.
