Thomas E. Fissinger

age 80, of Munster, IN, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Ginger; sons, Gary (Pam) and Russell; daughter in law, Jamie; grandchildren, Ryan (Katie), Jacob, Alison, Kelsey and Lucas; great grandchild, Kylie; brother in law, George (Carol) Mazar; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard (late Peggy) Fissinger.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, at 2:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory , 14 Kennedy Ave., (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville, IN 46375 with Rev. Michael Evanick officiating.  Friends may call on the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00-2:00 PM.

Tom was a 1956 graduate of St. Francis de Sales on the east side of Chicago.  He was a US Marine.  Tom worked at the Southwest Ice Arena, H-F Ice Arena and Fitness Pointe.  Tom was a great man who lived his life with integrity and wore his heart on his sleeve. He was a kind soul who was loved by all.  He will be missed immensely.  In lieu of flowers, donations made in Tom's name to Juvenile Diabetes Association JDRF.org would be appreciated.
