Timothy J. Reid

age 61, of Lansing, IL passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Laura Reid; children: Joe Winkiewicz, Lisa (Chet) Friesner, Danielle (Brett) Kenney, Timothy (Madeline) Reid, and Taylor (Peter Wild) Reid; beloved grandchildren: Joseph, Toni, Caden, Zachary, Savannah, Blake, and Cole; siblings, Sharon (Boyd) Kerley and Dr. Saundra (Gary Campbell) Clark; and many dear nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Billie and Byron Reid; siblings, Michael Reid and Shirley Kester; and best friend, Robert Wittle.

Tim was a 1982 graduate of T.F. South High School. He spent 27 years working for Chicago Heights Glass in South Holland, IL, before spending his later years at Bridges Scoreboard in Griffith, IN.

Tim's love of sports was evident in every aspect of his life. A dedicated baseball coach for 18 years, he first coached his son and later he had the joy of coaching his grandkids. He was a passionate sports fan, with a deep love for Alabama football—Roll Tide! Beyond the field, Tim enjoyed fishing, golfing, dancing, and, most of all, spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren.

Tim was always the life of the party and will be missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for sports will live on in the many lives he touched.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Service Celebrating Tim's Life will be held at 7:30 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
