Tracy A. Martinez Age 60, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Tracy was a devoted and loving wife of Richard Martinez, sharing 40 beautiful years of marriage filled with friendship, laughter, and unwavering love. Together they built a life rooted in loyalty and deep companionship – truly each others greatest friend.

She was a proud and loving mother to her sons, Jeremy (Cory) Tatum, and Josh Tatum, and her daughter, Alexis Medrano. Tracy’s grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is also survived by several loving sisters, a brother, many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and her dear best friend, Richard Rumsey.

Tracy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sarina Tatum, and her parents, Albert and Mary Kopp.

Tracy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved fishing and camping, finding peace outdoors and happiness in time spent with those she loved. She was a caregiver at heart – always putting others first, especially her dear husband – and extended that same warmth and compassion to everyone she met. Her strength, kindness, and devotion to family will be remembered always.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave, Hammond, IN. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 7:30 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made according to the family’s wishes.

Tracy’s love, strength, and beautiful spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
