At age 57, Victor Guerrero a loving husband, loyal son, big brother and caring father, from East Chicago, IN was called upon by Jesus on Thursday May 15, 2014. Victor was born in the Dominican Republic February 25, 1957. Victor was the go to man in the family. Always the first to arrive on family Sunday get-togethers, with a tradition of Bachata music in the background; cooking was his passion. His dedication to his family was shown as recently as Mother's Day (Sunday before his passing). Receiving his Masters as a Mechanical Engineer, Victor always displayed dedication not only to his family, but his work as well at Omega Engineering.

Victor Guerrero was proceeded in death by his father Manuel (Papi) Guerrero. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife Hortensia Guerrero, two sons Jordan and Xavier Guerrero of Milwaukee, WI. Loving mother Amparo Guerrero, 5 brothers & 3 sisters; Manuel Jr, Francisco-Cisco (Norma), Pedro, Luis-Ramon, Ricardo J. (Tonja) Guerrero, Anna (Luis) Arriaga, Alicia Guerrero, loyal & devout big sister Amparo-Vivian (Cleotis) White; 4 Half siblings Josephina Andujar, Mirna Colon, Manuel Andujar and Clieceda Guerrero. A host of nieces and nephews & Special friend Larry Watson of many years.

Funeral Services will be held at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home on Tuesday May 20, 2014 at 10:30 am with Rev. Joe Best officiating. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Visitation will be held Monday, May 19, 2014 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375 from 4-8pm.
