Walter "Wally" V. Kolodziej

age 73, of Munster, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.  Wally is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Kolodziej; son, Chris (Roxy) Kolodziej; sister, Betty (Wayne) Williams; in-laws, Zig (Toni) Jedrzejczak and Arlene (Mike) Bokowy; several nieces and nephews, and precious grand-pup, Stolli. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. and Joanne Kolodziej.

Wally graduated from DePaul Academy High School in Chicago, Illinois. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University and later retired from Top Line Fence. Wally was an avid Southside Chicago sports fan. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and friend.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN on Tuesday, August 22, at 10:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please have a Mass in Wally's intentions.
