Wanda H. Wartman (née Grzybek)
Age 78, of Calumet City, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Le Roy C. Wartman; loving mother of David (Cathy) Wartman, Randy Wartman, Alan (Janet) Wartman, Linda Wartman, Edward (Jonna) Wartman, and Laura (Reuben) Bloker; dearest grandmother of Katie Rozek, Brandon (Melissa) Wartman, Jennifer, Christopher, Sarah, Monica, Luke, Elijah, Noah, Elizabeth, Karl, and Lee Roy; dearest great grandmother of Miranda, Dominic, Gabriel, Zachary, and Liliana. Wanda was preceded in death by her sons, Walter and George; her sister, Genevieve Romaniak; her parents, Walter and Genevieve Grzybek; and grandparents, Maryanna and Mark Urbanski.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY AT Our Lady of Knock Catholic Church, 501 163rd, Calumet City, IL 60409 with Rev. Patrick Lyons officiating. Wanda will lie in state at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service, and laid to rest directly after at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave, (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville, IN 46375 from 2 till 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Relay for Life - Lake County West Cousins Team.
