Wilbert "Webb" O. Schneider

Age 87 of Highland, formerly of Merrillville, IN passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 28, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lynn Schneider; children, Jeff (Beverly LaMont) Schneider, Tracy (Tom) Covaciu, and Jason (Jamie Morris) Schneider; precious grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jacob Covaciu; Ivan and Sierra Schneider; sister, Alvina "May" (late, Oswald Neal) Hall; stepbrother, Norbert (Patricia) Donsbach; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded by his parents, Albert and Marie Schneider; and siblings, George, Melvin and Betty Schneider.

Webb was a 1955 graduate of Calumet High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the last blimp squadron at Naval Air Station Lakehurst in Lakehurst, NJ. He was a member of the Local 697 Electricians Union, Rotary Club, Griffith Izaak Walton League and a former Boy Scout. Webb was a local Realtor for over 35 years and a charter member of the Indiana Chapter of Certified Residential Specialists.  His hobbies included fishing and boating, and Webb was an avid automobile enthusiast. He will be dearly missed and cherished by all who loved him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
