William E. Bilyak

age 82, of Highland, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018, joining his wife of 49 years Helen Ann Bilyak who passed in 2011. Bill is survived by his children: Brian Bilyak, Cynthia (Steve) Tomei and Jeff (Cheryl) Bilyak; grandchildren: Nicole and Samantha Bilyak, Lily and Nick Tomei; sister MaryAnn (late Joe) Nagy; sister-in-law Pat Bilyak; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Also preceded in death by his brothers Ted Bilyak and Milan Bilyak.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his service Bill worked for USX and retired after 40 years. He loved his Chicago sports teams especially his Blackhawks. Above all else Bill loved every minute he spent with his grandkids. He will be dearly missed.

Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville, IN. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 10:30 am the funeral home with Fr. Lev Holowaty officiating. Bill will be laid to rest with Helen at Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville, IN. In lieu of flowers please attend a Blackhawks game and give a toast to Bill.
