William "Bill" E. Adams

age 76, of Dyer, IN, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021. Bill is survived by his loving wife of almost 55 years, Joyce Adams (nee Burns); children: Scott (Meg) Adams, Allison (Stu) Murtagh, Becky (Bob) Venus, and Patrick (Courtney) Adams; grandchildren: Jacen and Justin Adams, Molly and Emma Venus, and Connor, Chloe, and Lily Adams; sisters: Sue Vertel, Terry (Lyle) Govert, Jodie (George) Hermann; brothers Tom (Gloria) Adams and Jim (Colleen) Adams; sister-in-law Noreen Burns; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents: Leo and Elaine Adams; and his mother and father-in-law, Kathryn and John Burns.

Bill was a 1963 graduate of Bishop Noll. He was an Air Force veteran and retired with Union Pacific Railroad after 30 years. He loved to play golf, hunt, fish, and spend time with his family. Bill especially loved when his grandchildren would come to visit and spend time in the pool.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a 2:00 PM prayer service.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 20, DIRECTLY at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8501 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321, with Rev. Michael Yadron officiating.  Services conclude at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Share Foundation would be appreciated. Sharefoundation.org
