William "Bill" R. Demos

Age 71, of Portage, IN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2023.  Bill is survived by his nephew Michael (Kate) Szczepaniak, his niece Janet (Eric) Matson, step kids Amy (Evert) Dickerson and Michael "Mike" Mohline, his grandkids Kaden and Logan Dickerson, and his brother-in-law, Joseph Szczepaniak.  He will also be missed by his close friends JoAnn Horton and Alice Nebelsiek-Piorkowski, his many cousins, his bandmates, and the many people he has helped and mentored through the years as well as those he touched with his music.

He has now joined his wife Denise Demos, parents Nicholas and Jean Demos (nee Pacelli), sister, Mary Ann (Joseph, still living) Szczepaniak, and his brother Robert "Bob" Demos.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 28, DIRECTLY AT St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 6060 Miller Ave, Gary, IN, with Fr. Ed Shea officiating. Burial will be held on Friday DIRECTLY at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park at 1:00 PM.
