Willis "Bill" York

August 16, 1937 – April 24, 2021

Willis York, age 83, of Sauk Village, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021. He is survived by his children, Stephen York (Cindy Baughman-York) and daughter Dorlene York (Isidro Roman); eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother Robert York and family; and sister Peggy Denardo and family. Preceded in death by his wife Carolyn York; son Robert York; brothers, Kenneth and Timothy; and sister Jeannette

Bill enjoyed fishing, mechanics, and helping others. He would always be there to give anyone a helping hand and would take the shirt off his back if someone needed it. Everyone knew Bill and his truck because he loved to scrap and fix lawn mowers and he would also fix bikes for kids, free of charge. He was a Korean War veteran and will be remembered for his love for life.
